Not today motherfucker! Not today!

There is this tiny, invisible warrior that follows each of us around.

This tiny warrior has a huge invisible cannonball.

It waits until we have some kind of direction & knowing....

Then BOMB

It will fire.

It fires resistance, and resistance is not afraid to fight dirty...

Another snack before you sit down to do your sales?..... 'Yes, I'm starving'...... eats all the kids lunch snacks*

Now you must be sleepy after eating 22 dates?...'yes, so sleepy'

'But before you put on your nap alarm, and since you have your phone in your hands, why don't you scroll so you can regret eating all those snacks but feel too lazy & tired to actually do any exercise, and instead feel ashamed for feeling lazy, tired & bloated'....'yes, great idea'....

'You'll need energy after all that scrolling, how about another snack?'....'Yes, snackkkkksss'

And the cycle continues....

Then you go to bed at night feeling antsy & annoyed because you know resistance won today...

But not today motherfucker! Not today!

The fight against resistance is real, you see thousands of books about it: 'how to stick to a habit' 'how to be productive' 'how to lose weight'.

All about resistance...

We actually know exactly what to do, it's not the HOW, that is really the question...

It's the doing it when you hear the cannonball go off, it's the practice of not reacting to it...

Staying on task, just like going to the gym, it's a muscle that needs to be worked...but resistance will keep on firing no matter how seasoned you are at 'getting it done'...

Fighting doesn't work, as they say 'make love, not war'

I like to see resistance as a sign that whatever I'm resisting is exactly what I should be doing, I do a quick internal check, 'how will I feel after doing this thing' 9 times out of 10, the answer is relief, freedom, fucking amazing!

Now I relate to it differently, I see it as a North Star. Resisting? Great this is where to go next.

The other part of it is that as soon as I take action on what I was resisting the resistance dissipates, it loses all its strength.

It's not about pushing through, it's about checking in with soul and asking what would you have me do right now? Inviting soul take the driver's seat.

Soul is much more polite, it will generally wait until you check in with it.

But resistance will scream 'shot gun' and jump straight into the car, no invitation, no checking in.

Put it in the back seat and for gods sake don't give it snacks!
